At Savvy Social Skills, LLC, we understand that the social world can be a challenging place for some children. Not all children process social information the same way. Many children need to be explicitly taught how to think in social situations.

We provide a safe and nurturing social environment where experts in the field of social cognition help your child grow and discover how to think in a social world.

Our unique and child-centered social learning program is designed for children in elementary and middle school with age-appropriate language skills. Our lessons include group activities targeting hidden social rules needed to establish and maintain friendships, share space effectively, interpret social cues, work in groups, and stay focused. These difficulties are often associated with children with ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, high-functioning autism, Asperger syndrome, and other social challenges.

Our Social Learning Program

Each day, children with social cognitive challenges are immersed in a social world they don’t have the natural ability to comprehend and successfully engage. These difficulties can leave them, and their families, feeling lost and hopeless.

The unique program at Savvy Social Skills helps children be part of the social world and master the skills they need to function in it more fully.

At Savvy Social Skills, our comprehensive curriculum integrates the latest developments in the field of social thinking. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where children engage in social learning through targeted activities and role-playing.

Application Process

Savvy Social Skills is a social learning program for children with social thinking challenges. Prior to placing a student in one of our groups, a social assessment is performed. The purpose of the assessment is to determine the student’s strengths and weaknesses so they are placed in an appropriate group. If an appropriate group is available, the student is placed in the program immediately. Otherwise, they are placed on the waitlist. We will inform you as soon as a group becomes available. Please fill out our application and return it to us by mail or e-mail. Once we receive the application, we will contact you to set up an appointment for the assessment.
